Appearance: light brown (beige) powder
MEDGRANATE derives from pomegranate, a fruit of great interest due to its multiple beneficial effects on human health. This fruit, touted as superfood, has been widely used for several centuries in traditional medicine for a wide variety of diseases, since its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties are well- known and documented in literature. In recent years, novel studies have led the scientific community to think of a new application of this fruit as a natural anti-tumor agent.
In particular, a research study carried out by the University of California has identified the components of pomegranate as valid allies for the prevention of prostate cancer metastases. Furthermore, it has been found that ellagic tannins of pomegranate are able to interfere with the growth of new blood vessels, which would nourish prostate cancer.
